The book of sketches Tudor, 1504

This book is a peculiar sketch-book where illustrator was collecting sketches of everything he may need working on his book – animals, monsters, plants, drop letters. As a rule these pictures were not imagined. They were copies of earlier books, paintings and stained glass windows.

Such albums promoted expansion of artistic tradition as were used by different artists.
